His Sweet Surprise is the stage name for Paul Nicholas Gogarty, a former member of the Irish Parliament, best known internationally for his use of the F-Word during a budgetary debate in 2009 which notched up over half a million hits on YouTube.

Before he entered politics and to supplement his income as a journalist, Paul used to busk on the shopping streets of Dublin, serenading passers-by with largely original material. This stopped in the runup to his election to the Irish parliament in 2002. However he decided to go back to music and get working on his debut album after losing his seat during the turbulent 2011 general election.

The His Sweet Surprise album is now almost completed and ready for release under the Daizel Music label later this year. There are also a number of other tracks that are suitable for single release. One recent dance-orientated track in final mixing, “Molly Is A Liar”, was inspired by comments made by Madonna at a concert earlier this year. “Know You All My Life” is catchy and vibrant.

Paul Gogarty is from Lucan, near Dublin City in Ireland, home of The Riptide Movement and Paul Noonan of BellX1. The most internationally known act to have come from Lucan is Jedward.
